A beach facing resort with direct access to the beach and with wonderful sea views, built in traditional Spanish white village style and just 1,5km from Fuengirola town centre and 20km from Marbella, Marina Park Select is the perfect base for a Costa del Sol family holiday.Facilities within the complex include: luggage room, supermarket, a doctor?s office, currency exchange desk, 6 swimming pools (one of which heated), children?s pool, Jacuzzi, pool table, souvenir shops, 2 snack bars, 3 restaurants (Zachary or Safari for families and the Sunset club lounge for romantic dinners in the sunset), tennis courts, fitness centre, games room, mini-golf, Internet corner, children?s club, a children?s play area, day & evening entertainment and excursions programme.Free services include wireless internet access ?Wi-Fi? available in public areas and apartments free of charge, car parking, mini-club Team Marina´ and the novelty road train.The apartments-studios are decorated in a contemporary style and are fully equipped to provide a self-catering holiday with kitchen, washing ? machine, bath-shower, hairdryer, safe, satellite TV, CD & DVD player, telephone, balcony or terrace and Wi-Fi connection.This year this hotel has improved his services to their guests. Some of this improved facilities, are: TEAM MARINABased at the lovely new Reception area in Marina Park, our onsite activity and entertainment team not only organise supervised activities for guests of all ages but also coordinate rental of the tennis courts, pool towels, board games and PS4 packs (which guests can take back to their apartments) as well as hosting a book swap library and selling pool and beach items in the shop. WAVESWAVES is the hub of Team Marina at Club la Costa World and has been designed to be a chilled and inviting place for teenagers to linger and have fun. What was once an 80´s arcade style games room with pool tables and old-style video game machines has been reinvented, complete with dunes and beanbags, high speed Wifi and Bluetooth plus the latest PlayStation 4 and VR (virtual reality) games which can be played for a small fee.There is always someone from Team Marina in the area to keep an eye on things and help out if needed, but the area is first and foremost for the teens to come and go as they please.Teen programmeDuring school holidays, the supervised teen activities programme for the 12s and over is spread across various locations on and off resort. At WAVES there?s FIFA competition, Mixology (alcohol free cocktail mixing), disco, Just Dance competition, Karaoke and more. Other activities such as football, swimming pool games, zip lining or rock climbing take place either on or off resort but we only charge for the off-site multi-adventure activities. Mini-clubMini-club is the supervised activity programme for 4-11 year olds and the children love the revamped look as well as the new games and increased activities we?ve been able to introduce. To join, parents register their children at Marina Park and pay a small fee (includes a Mini-club tee-shirt). Apart from a small additional charge for the weekly party each Friday (includes lunch and a knapsack), all the other activities are free.The Mini-club uses WAVES for supervised activities such as mini-karaoke, mini-cinema or mini-disco and also has its own ?mini beach hut? and outside patio area for activities like face-painting and art-crafts. Adult programmeLast but by no means least, there?s our adult activity programme which includes on site activities such as archery, rifle shooting and water aerobics as well as yoga, pilates and stretching. The multi-purpose design of WAVES comes into its own here, allowing yoga to seamlessly move into Spanish lessons and even Sangria demonstrations! There are no charges for the adult activities and the programme is expanded outside school holidays.Useful information: Check in at 16:00 ? We have installed a top of the line buffet island for guests to enjoy an all you can eat´ style selection of delicious international dishes and themed nights. To complement the above, an all-day pizza menu will be served in the restaurant and-or ?take away?, too. Also, there will be two themed dinner evenings. Opening hours are:Breakfast: 09:30-11:30Lunch-snack: 12:30-16:00Dinner: 18:00-22:30Maintenance and Works will carry out an improvement program in the Select Marina Park apartments. The works include the renovation of the exterior corridors, the updating to the electrical network in each apartment as well as the connection of water that has been renewed for more than 30 years. We show that we are committed to the maintenance of both apartments and common areas I am pleased to confirm that we will have installed in all apartments, living room and master bedroom, air conditioning for the end of Q1 2018 in the urbanization Marina del Sol.All apartments at the end of 2017 will have fiber optic, thus providing a higher speed of internet connection, which will improve the current service of 1mg wifi via current ADSL. The Select Benal Beach reception is open from 9am ? 5pm. Outside these hours guests check-in at the main reception open 24 hours.Cots are not permitted in studio units.Swimming pools and water park: In winter only one pool is open. From May to September all pools are open. The water park is open in high season only, July and August. There is snack bar (not a restaurant) open in high season only. The supermarket opens from April to Octobre. These are private and independent businesses and Select Benal Beach does not control their opening days-times.
