The Plaza Hotel is only 100 metres from the beach and has good views of St. Julians Bay. The hotel is linked to its sister property the Plaza Regency with a bridge and guests can make full use of the facilities at either hotel. The centre of the resort is three quarters of a mile away and has a long promenade with plenty of street cafes, restaurants, boutiques, department stores, a yacht marina and gardens. Sliema also has a regular ferry service to the capital Valletta and frequent bus connections to Malta¿s most interesting attractions. Although the coastline is rocky there are still some good spots for swimming. Nightlife in the area is varied with Paceville, the main area for nightlife and entertainment just minutes away.
