Alternatively, the number 8 bus departs from the airport every 20 minutes to the main bus terminus in Valletta. Driving directions: From the airport, follow the road towards Valetta and continue for Sliema. Getting around: Malta has a network of buses connecting the main resorts. A car is useful for exploring the less touristy areas of the island. Gozo can be explored on foot, by bicycle or using the island's network of buses which all depart from the main terminal in Victoria.
