Day Trip to Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius
A full-day excursion to Pompeii provides students with a unique opportunity to explore the streets, houses and forums of the ancient city, learning about life in Roman times before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. If time allows, groups can also visit a viewpoint on Mount Vesuvius, giving a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples and the surrounding countryside.
Ancient Rome – Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill
Students will explore the Colosseum, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, as well as the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, the heart of ancient Rome’s political and social life. Baths of Caracalla & Catacombs
Visits to the Baths of Caracalla and the Catacombs provide insight into daily life and engineering in ancient Rome. Students can explore one of the largest bathing complexes ever built and tour one of Rome’s oldest underground burial sites.
