Day 1 – Arrival & Rome Walking Tour

• Meet travel representative at the airport

Day 2 – Day Trip to Pompeii

• Early breakfast at the hotel

• Depart Rome by coach or train to Pompeii

  • Explore the streets, houses, and forums of the ancient city

  • Learn about life in Roman times before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius

• Lunch (packed or at a local restaurant near the site)

• Optional short visit to Mount Vesuvius viewpoint (if time allows)

• Return to Rome in the late afternoon

• Evening meal at a local restaurant

Day 3 – Ancient Rome

• Breakfast at the hotel

• Guided visit to the Colosseum

• Guided tour of the Roman Forum

Day 4 – Baths, Catacombs & Departure

• Breakfast and hotel check-out

• Free time in Rome for sightseeing or shopping

Guided Walking Tour of Rome

Students can enjoy a guided walking tour of Rome’s most famous landmarks, including Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. This experience offers an introduction to the city’s architecture, history and cultural significance while allowing students to explore key sites on foot.

Day Trip to Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius

A full-day excursion to Pompeii provides students with a unique opportunity to explore the streets, houses and forums of the ancient city, learning about life in Roman times before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. If time allows, groups can also visit a viewpoint on Mount Vesuvius, giving a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples and the surrounding countryside. 

Ancient Rome – Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill

Students will explore the Colosseum, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, as well as the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, the heart of ancient Rome’s political and social life. Guided visits to these sites bring history to life, allowing students to experience the scale and importance of the Roman Empire firsthand.

Baths of Caracalla & Catacombs

Visits to the Baths of Caracalla and the Catacombs provide insight into daily life and engineering in ancient Rome. Students can explore one of the largest bathing complexes ever built and tour one of Rome’s oldest underground burial sites.

Italian Cuisine & Culinary Experiences

Students can enjoy traditional Italian food throughout the trip, sampling pizza, pasta, gelato and other regional specialties. Optional cooking classes give students hands-on experience in making classic dishes, offering a fun and interactive way to learn about Italian culture while practicing teamwork and culinary skills.

Theme Parks & Leisure Activities

For groups seeking a more adventurous day, theme parks such as Rainbow MagicLand or Cinecittà World can be included. 

Extending the Trip – Florence & Sorrento

Rome can be combined with nearby destinations to extend the tour.

• Florence offers opportunities to explore Renaissance art, visit the Uffizi Gallery and admire iconic landmarks like the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio.
• Sorrento, on the Amalfi Coast, provides scenic landscapes, historic streets, and hands-on experiences such as limoncello tasting or coastal excursions.
