Day 1 – Arrival & Barcelona Guided Tour

• Meet your travel representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Salou or Barcelona.

• Check-in to your hotel. 

• Guided city tour: Explore the highlights of the city with a knowledgeable guide, discovering its history, architecture and vibrant culture.

• Tapas tasting tour: Enjoy a curated selection of local tapas while learning about the culinary traditions and flavours of the region.

• Evening free to relax, attend a Flamenco show, or explore nearby surroundings at your leisure.

Day 2 – Tarragona

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• Take a scenic train ride to the nearby town of Tarragona or town of your chocie.

• Guided walking tour: Discover Tarragona’s rich history, Roman ruins and charming streets with a knowledgeable local guide.

• Free time for sightseeing or shopping in Tarragona.

• Return to your hotel for an evening meal at a local restaurant.

Day 3 – PortAventura & Theme Park Adventure

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• Full day at PortAventura Theme Park, exploring six themed lands: Mexico, China, Polynesia, Far West, Mediterrània, and SesamoAventura.

• Return to your hotel for an evening meal at a local restaurant.

Day 4 – CosmoCaixa & Barcelona Highlights

• Breakfast and check-out of the hotel.

• Visit CosmoCaixa Science Museum, one of Europe’s top interactive science centers.

• Optional activities in Barcelona:

  • Montjuïc cable car ride

  • Picasso Museum or Casa Milà

  • Free time for shopping or sightseeing

• Transfer to the airport for your return flight.

Students can enjoy a guided tour of Barcelona’s most famous landmarks, including La Sagrada Familia, Plaça Catalunya, Las Ramblas and the Montjuïc area. This experience provides insights into the city’s history, architecture and cultural significance, offering a perfect introduction to the city.

CosmoCaixa Science Museum

At CosmoCaixa, students can explore interactive exhibits across physics, biology, and technology. This hands-on experience encourages curiosity, critical thinking and engagement with STEM subjects, all in a fun and educational environment.

PortAventura Theme Park

A full day at PortAventura, one of Europe’s best theme parks which offers thrilling rides, live shows and six themed parks that bring adventure to life! Just to note, Parks operate seasonal opening hours, usually opening the weekend before Easter and closing at the end of October.

Day Trip to Tarragona 

Students can step back in time at the ancient Circo Romano in Tarragona, an arena dating from the first century AD. Exploring the subterranean tunnels and Roman ruins provides a fascinating perspective on history, architecture, and ancient culture.

Day Trip to Montserrat 

A trip to Montserrat allows students to experience breathtaking mountain landscapes and visit the famous Montserrat Monastery. Alongside its natural beauty, students can learn about the region’s cultural and artistic heritage, making this an inspiring and educational excursion.

Barcelona Markets & Culinary Experiences

Students will explore local markets such as La Boqueria, experiencing the sights, smells and flavours of traditional Spanish food. Tasting local produce and learning about regional culinary traditions gives students a practical understanding of Spanish culture, while also providing opportunities to hear and practice everyday Spanish language skills in real-life settings.
